Waitlist Flow troubleshooting

Emails are not sending

  1. Confirm the customer email address is valid.
  2. Check Billing → Usage for your plan allowance or email usage.
  3. Confirm Send join confirmation is enabled if you expect a confirmation.
  4. For claim emails, check that the waitlist has a valid Product ID and Variant ID where needed.
  5. Send a test claim email from the entry detail page.

Free Up 1 Slot or a claim email fails

The product must still be active in Shopify. Archived, draft, or deleted products cannot be used to create a draft-order checkout. Also check that at least one customer has Waiting status and that your plan has available email capacity.

The theme button does not appear

Open the theme editor and confirm that the Waitlist Button block was added and saved. Check the Waitlist ID and App URL in the block settings, then republish the theme if the extension was recently updated.

Webhooks are not triggering notifications

Confirm that the production app URL is correct and that the app is still installed. Shopify admin webhook delivery logs will show whether a cancellation or refund webhook was delivered successfully.

“Cannot create waitlist”

The Free plan allows one waitlist. Upgrade to Premium or Pro for unlimited waitlists, and confirm that the title and trigger type are filled in.

“Email limit reached”

Free includes 50 emails per month. Pro includes 500. Premium uses the email-usage cap described on the billing page. Upgrade or wait for the next billing period.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, contact support through the Shopify App Store listing or use Feedback inside the app.
